Nero ProductSetup - Version 1.5.25.0

    Hi All,

    I have installed Nero 7.5.7.0 and it seems to be working well except for ProductSetup.

    Everytime I click on the "check for updates", I see a dialog box that says that Nero ProductSetup is checking for Nero products update. When I click the OK button, I see the progress bar momentarily, and then I get this dialog box to say that Nero ProductSetup is unable to connect to the Internet. My Internet connection is active and working well. It's wierd!

    I have turned off my firewall and antivirus programs. Also, I have disabled Nero Scout (not completely removed) in my system.

    Does this problem have anything to do with the Nero "SetupX.exe" file? Please advise and let me know how I can resolve this problem.

    Btw, I am running on Windows XP Pro SP2 and IE 7.0 (just released version).

    I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU NERO PRODUCTSETUP EXCEPT MY VERSION IS 1.6.13.0. I HAVE CONTACTED NERO SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY HAVE NOT GIVEN ME A FIX. I TRIED UN-INSTALLING THE PRODUCT WENT INTO THE REGISTRY AND REMOVED EVERYTHING. THE SAME PROBLEM RETURNS WHEN RE-INSTALLED, HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM?
