I'm trying to make VCDs on Nero. Using the guide I found on here, I tried to make a menu screen using the tutorial, but Nero seems to want to put white boxes around the header, footer, and the item for selection.

TVs don't like the lines, and they wobble like crazy when I put the disc in (like strobe crazy). The lines aren't on the tutorial screen caps, and I can't seem to get Nero to get rid of them.

    Any help on this front?

    Thanks
PS. I did send this question in before, but I can't find it on any of the lists, so I'm thinking it got eaten somehow.

You cant stop nero from creating lines around the header and footers and everything! But seriously, why do you even want a menu?? vcd menus look so dull. If you really want them then maybe you should look for a program that could create them better than nero could. For instance, ulead dvd workshop 2!

Okay I downloaded the trial version of ULead, but it won't open. Something about not being able to find the codec filters. I also downloaded a patch but that doesn't work either. I'm not a complete dumbass, but I'm starting to feel like it. Any help?

I mean that ULead won't open. It goes past the 'you have this many days left' screen, then I get the splash screen, then I get an error message saying that some codecs or other aren't there, with an OK button. When I click the OK button, it just all shuts down.

I just wanted a menu screen without lines on it like the nice Tutorial screen caps. ;)
