It's been working fine, now it won't burn a dvd at all. I've only had it for a few months. Bought to replace my old burner which went flaky after a year or two of use. The error log from Nero is below. I've been using fujifilm DVD+R's for years without trouble. I've tried them and Memorex Lightscribes and get the same error as soon as it starts to burn. Can anyone help? I have the 1.02 firmware already and it was working fine until today. This version of Nero contains some bugs, uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install version 7.0.8.2 (dont be tempted to update to latest versions) from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 Although you are using top quality discs, try slowing burn to 4X You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
Well, I uninstalled Roxio, also uninstalled ANYDVD and reinstalled it. Now I have noticed that the LG drive will not even read a store bought DVD. I put one in this morning and it tells me that no disc is present. I don't think the problem is with Nero, as I tried making an ISO image with DVDShrink, and burning it with DVD Decrypter, and I get the same error when it tries to start burning the DVD. I noticed one thing strange when I checked the drive with Nero, it doesn't have the box checked next to DVD+R, but the ones next to DVD+RW, DVD+R DL and DVD-RAM are checked.
Your firmware is up to date, However your DMA is turned off, CCHeck your ASPI Layers, under Nero Toolkit,NeroInfotool, click on the ASPI tool tab, (I know I'm reaching, but sometimes this helps.)
