I'm trying to keep a long story short but descriptive so bear with me. I installed Nero OEM for a friend (I'm very familiar with my own Ultra 6) and it has a problem that I can't diagnose. I upgdraded to latest versions fine (pack one and two 6.6.0.18 and 3.1.0.21) He has a generic DVD-ROM that Nero drive tools recognize, but Recode always hangs up reading from it. If I change recode to read from his other drive (HP lightscribe DVD±RW) it is fine and runs properly. All DMA's enabled across the board, ASPI layer OK (I think). This drive works fine with all other programs like Shrink and Decrypter so I don't think it's only the drive. Any suggestions?
