Which one of these will provide better picture Quality? I will be using AnyDVD in the background to decrypt. Thanks
i have and use both of these programs, i also have and use shrink and dvd2one v2. there are many opinions on the matter, all i can say that, after compressing the same movies with all this programs just to see if there is a difference in quality, i haven't been able to tell the difference. i can tell you that dvd2one and clonedvd2 are faster than recode and shrink. just yesterday(12/29), i backedup dark water four times, just too see if there was any difference and i can't see any.
This is a personal preference question. I have both but prefer Recode basically because I like Nero burning engine better. I will sometimes compress/transcode to HDD with Clone but then burn with Nero. I think the sound comes out better using Recode and Nero to burn. But that may just be my ears
I have both Nero Recode & CloneDVD 2. I personally like CloneDVD 2 over Recode. But I agree with bilbo65, whatever works best for YOU. I have BOTH, have used BOTH extensively, in my opinion, CloneDVD 2 gives better results overall & better playback quality too. For ME, it does. Not to mention CloneDVD 2 has backed up quite a few Sony movies that Recode could not.
watch for problems with the latest anydvd and nero,i got some reports along those lines.. on this info.. AnyDVD does not work with Nero Ultra 7. When Nero attempts to recode the video an error comes up Address is out of bounds VOBU invalid DVD navigation structure.
I have had problems with Nero 7 and AnyDVD. I wonder if those problems were fixed with this new version of AnyDVD that came out.
the nero fix with a new anydvd version 5.7.3.1 Okay, Brothers Grimm made me suspicious - maybe this problem is RipGuard specific? I just tried Madagascar (US, Widescreen) which is RipGuard protected as well. Voila - I can see the problem with Nero Recode! So don't worry, we will fix it. It seems that the change we have made for DVDDecrypter causes Nero Recode to stop working when used together with RipGuard protected titles. We will investigate this. You don't need to send any .ifo files, I believe we can work it out using our copy of Madagascar. It is easy to fix a problem if we can reproduce it. Thank you for your support! __________________ SlySoft SlySoft Team Member 5.7.3.1, 2006 01 02 - Important: When installing this version over an existing installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect! - New: Added skipping of error zones between title sets. This allows to make 1:1 backups with CloneCD or DVDDecrypter of newer Arccos protected titles. - Change: Removed replacement of error zones with "valid material", as it had undesired side effects with Nero Recode and RipGuard protected DVDs. So the "Pack Header Error" warnings in DVDDecrypter are back again. But don't worry, when using AnyDVD it is safe to ignore "Pack Header Error" warnings in DVDDecrypter. - Added Brazilian language - Added Korean language - Updated other languages The update is free for all registered customers, of course. Just install the new version on top of your current version, regardless which version you have installed: http://www.slysoft.com/download.html
