I was wondering if anyone has had success using recode to backup dvds. i keep getting copyright errors when trying to copy a dvd. Also will recode compress the dvd or just rip it. found tutorials for nero but not recode. thanks for the help!
Hiya, Nero Recode doesn't have a decrypting function which is why you're getting those messages. You'll need DVD Decrypter to rip the movie and then you can use Recode to compress the film which it is very good at
After a bit of digging around, I found Nero's guide for Recode 2. I don't know why they hide them so well! Download DVD43 and install it, DVD43 is a ripper that interfaces perfectly with Nero, After Installation you can copy anything you want.
