im running 6.3 nero but all of sudden nero recode wont except my media ritak data go5 8x dvd-r whats happing is i encode the disk then it asks for the media before it would take it now it is asking for dvd+rp double layer dont know about that media is there anyway to config to the proper media (dvd-r) thanks in advance
Hi pep662 Update Nero to these - 6.6.0.18 Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 (recode & vision) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Burner may need a firmware update too - you can find what version you have in Nero ToolKit>InfoTool. You can check the drives manufacturer site or here to see if there is a later version. http://rpc1.org

lg hl-dt-st-dvdram gsa-4167b it should be reading dvd-r dvd+r it excepts that media with dvd decrypter but only reads dvd-r dl dvd+dl when trying to backup with nero recode it says to modify what do i modify? thanks in advance
Ok make sure when using Recode nothing is in the 'red' - the compression bar should all be in the 'blue'. Have the 'fit to target' checked and set to DVD-5 (see pic) The current firmware for your drive is DJ13 - if Nero InfoTool shows an early version like DJ12 or lower update to the latest.
