    Hi all.

Just used nero recode to convert a DVD movie (Bruce_Almighty) to MPEG 4. All went well, except the actual size. You see, I wanted to get it to fit onto an 80min CD, the size it shoes is under 700mb, so alls well right? Wrong. When I went to burn it, it states it alot larger than it appears. Approximately 2gb in size.

Anyone know why? Or what I did wrong, if so?

    Thanks again...

    Hi j_holmes,

Funny that you're playing with just that DVD.

I once tried to compress it using DVD Shrink multiple times (I ran it through 6X). The best I could do, trimming everything off and starting with the opening scene and finishing with the last scene was 840MB. That was the smallest possible. (Lol) and you thought you tried – We all learn :)

Well we're not talking about me. we're worried about you -

To get from where you are to where you wish to go you'll have to convert the DVD files to AVI.

There's a proggy made just for that, it's called DVD2AVI and you can get it here –

As I said, you'll have no trouble with that –

Cheers good guy, We'll chat later, over by the water cooler :p)

    Pete

    Thanks alot Pete.
So you've tried that same movie, thats funny.
    LOL.
For some reason I managed to get it on a CD, I ran the mpeg4 file through recode and chose to burn it to a disk rather than on my HD. But the thing is I couldnt make a VCD with it.
I'm on my way to trying the APP you suggested.

    Thanks for the reply..
