Does nero recode work for avi files? I hear its similar to shrink. I would like to burn an avi file without Nero Vision automatically shrinking it anymore than standard play. Anything below that seems to reduce the video quality. Some of my avi files are too big for standard play and have to be reduced to long play or more.
The only way recode should be shirinking it is if your file is too big, if this is the case you only have 1 options: a. Break the avi into a smaller files. Check your settings to see if your target area lower than 4300.
I havent been able to get NeroRecode to do this. Basically its for copying or backing up a DVD, not AVI files.
well, you can always just burn your project to the desktop. Then throw that into recode to shrink it down onto a dvd. I've done this successfully a few times...i like to put 8 episodes of a tv show I download onto a single 4.5 gb disc. The quality is so/so, but it's good enough for me.
