Ok, I'm at my wit's end... I've made a great many DVD's with my Lite-On burner. I've used several different brands and finally settled on Maxell... They've worked very well for me. All of a sudden, in the middle of a spindle Nero quit working with these disks. I had a few old rewritables around so I put one of them in and it seemed ok. It was just the disks. So I bought new disks... a 50 pack of TDK brand disks... No dice... So I come to my favorite DVD website and ask you guys what to do. Many people say... "Get Verbatum" So I get Verbatum... Still, no dice... Here is my log... If anyone has any clue I would be eternally greatful. I have stacks of disks which simply refuse to work.
ThePastor Well your firmware is up to date and the discs your using id as MCC which is good stuff. Your Nero is out of date - update that 1st then skip the 1st 2 from below since your done both. Straight from Nero here's some options on the power calibration error: * Update the firmware of your recorder. Please check the manufacturer's website for the latest version. * Try another brand of CD-R or CD-RW media. * Try different power connectors, and for recorders, do not share power with other devices. It needs its own power connector. If the error occurs with an external recorder, the power source in the chassis could be the cause. As a test, try to take the recorder out of the external chassis and connect it internal. * Try different configurations, such as taking the CD-ROM to the primary IDE bus as slave and have only the recorder connected to the secondary IDE bus as master. * Send the recorder in for service.
