    Hello komptdp:

    There's a few problems apparent.

First your DMA needs enabling on your HDD and DVD/CD drives. See the guide below:

    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking DMA.pdf

Also you have an out of date version of Nero. Version 7.0.8.2 is recommended. It can be downloaded here:

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845

Before installing the newer Nero version, run the Nero 7 Clean Tool which is located here:

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

There's a newer firmware available for your burner here:

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1727

    Physical memory : 510MB (522672kB)
    Free physical memory: 76MB (78836kB)
    Memory in use : 84 %

There was very little free memory available, so make sure you close down all unnecessary programs before burning.

You're using good quality media, MCC.

Cheers again laddyboy. Looking at the firmware for the drive i dont know which one i should get out of-

    BTC DRW 1008IM (DVDRW-IDE1008) - 0052, 0054, 0055, 0156, 0256, 0357, 0557, 0158, 0258, 0658, 0758, 0059, 0159, 0060

    Shall i just take 0060?

thanks again as its doing my head in and my girl thinks im crap at DVD's even though i done them years ago.

My media was £15 for 100 dvds (Replika) Kilmarnock indoor market folks :eek:k

Yes update to the latest 0060 version; it's 2 versions past your current.

You lucked out on the media. Most of the time offbrands are for crap, but MCC is Verbatim. Your burner may still not like it but let's see what happens with the other changes.
