    Hello All,

My first time to the board and it really looks like a useful site.

I am new to Nero and have been trying to copy high quality video from my Sony TRV-18 to a laptop (new, with a 256 video card).

The videos are very grainy and the motion is jerky. The video is in-car road racing so it is fast moving.

I have looked all over for resolution settings, film capture rate etc. but when I do the "test" in Nero, the fastest settings that come up are 18 fps...

Is this a NERO or camera issue? When I play the tape directly to the TV it is perfect.

    Thanks for your help.

what version of nero are you using?
    what media are you using?
what is the project: is it a dvd or files you are converting to dvd?
Have you a log file you can produce?
What did you use to encode?

Thank you for the response and I'm sorry for the delay in supplying this information, I have been out of town.

I'm sure my responses here will give you an idea of just how hopeless I am on this kind of stuff but I'll give a shot at a response...

-The Nero came with a Sony DVD burner that I purchased. It looks like it is Nero Visionexpress 3.
-The media, I haven't copied it to anything at this point, just viewing on the computer.
-The project is a mini dv camcorder, hopefully to dvd
    -no idea
