I get the dreaded blue screen whenever I try to run the Nero Scan disc in Nero CD/DVD speed. I have tried several different versions I received with dvdr's I've bought. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Aspi files missing could cause it. Also I see the aspi file you do have on the system is old it should be version 4.71.
Okay, I still haven't found my answer. I downloaded this aspi: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/aspi.cfm and installed it, rebooted, and still get the blue screen with this error whenever I try to run scan disc. I know I can recode and burn with nero, but can't use the scan disc. Your aspi is still not installed right. I also noticed the patin_coufin driver is way old. It could be causing conflicts because its a layer driver. The newest from vso is 1.35 the underlined patin_coufin in your post is to 1.19 here at ad. 1.19 may be fine depending on what you have installed to have it on your system. I use 1.35 myself.
- that's real unlucky (and odd). i used to suffer from this problem a lot in Windows 2000 but reinstalls never worked, so the only way i ever fixed it (for a while) was to totally rebuild PC, ie remove all PCI cards, reinstall from scratch then add PCI cards to system one at a time with numerous reboots in between. but eventually the problems would return like months later. one of the reasons i ditched Windows 2000. Anyways.. i see you're using XP so got nothing new to add other than to go thru your info-tool log..
Thanks everyone for your responses. It's real weird since everything else works. However this computer actually isn't hooked up to the internet, I may need to run some windows updates to get up to date. I rarely use the computer. It's primary function is only for photo editing, downloading my camcorder tapes, media editing, etc. So I've never felt a need to have it connected to the internet. I'll try some things and let you know if I get any resolution for future reference.
I have heard that this does not play well with Nero (causes issues). I also saw that you have InCD installed as well. This will cause conflicts too.
