Hello! Earlier today I discovered this closed post: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/406158 IHoe had some great ideas including upgrading firmware, using better media, not multi-tasking, etc ... But after updating the firmware to the latest version, using Sony media, and shutting down all applications including anti-virus, I'm still stuck. I've made at least 10 attempts at burning this particular DVD file, and this particular attempt burned to 100%, and then displayed WRITE ERROR. This disc was tested in another player, and does not work. Any advice? Hi Wild4ager Here's a few more suggestions for you. 1st let's edit out that serial # - at the top and begins w/1a. Don't need someone else using it. Nero version: 6.0.0.28 You're quite a bit behind on Nero too - update to this version 6.6.0.18 Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 (recode & vision) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe This should also help drive recognize your drive better - you're getting this - Connected to MMC as unknown drive with class-nr : 1 Drive is autodetected - recorder class: Std. MMC recorder DiskPeripheral : WDC WD2500JB-00EVA0 15.0 ultra Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off Don't know which hard drive you have the file to burn saved too but best to have all drives in DMA. Here's a guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 Burn process started at 16.1x Take it down to 8x. Give those a go and let us know!
