When I split a video project the parts that were split end up at the end of the project. When I preview the saved project the unwanted scences show up. When I go back to show storyboard or show timeline the unwanted scenes are not present to delete. Any help would be appreciated. I'm helping a high schooler finish a project. Thank you in advanced.
I have seen it do that a couple of times, and just considered it a glitch. If you save the project and open it later do the scenes go away?
When I close the project and open it back up the same problem exists. Which is the scenes that were split appear at the end of the project but I can not find them in story timeline or frame timeline. If they would appear there I could delete them but not so lucky. Burned the project to a cd then tried to import it into nero and open it up but they still appear but not in either timeline. Had the problem before so I cut the unwanted scenes and then delete them. However, I made this student do his own work and he split the scenes. Too bad he really got a kick working on his project-hope the professor takes the hook that there at the end as bloopers ha ha. I still would like to know if there is a solution. Thanks for the reply!
What version of NeroVision 4 are you using. There may have been a bug that would cause problems like this. Since editing the video is non-destructive, try expanding the video back out to include all the scenes you deleted. See if they disappear, then go back and cut the scenes again. When I delete scenes, I like to split them and then delete them. The other way using the cut mode is a little confusing. But whichever you used, you might try the other one. You might just want to write down when you cut the scenes and start from scratch. If your project is complicated with a lot of cut scenes, maybe working with it will help.
Thanks for the help. I bought Nero 7 Ultra Edition boxed earlier this year. I'm not sure which version of vision 4 but I would guess it to be the latest. I open up a project and I had my terms mixed up. I also split the scenes instead of cutting for the same reason. It is when he cut the scene that put scenes at the end sorry. I did a video of Katrina distruction on our homes by splitting and had no problems. This is only the second time I have used the software. Thanks for the help I guess I'll just keep splitting scenes. Thanks again.
This software gets updated about every 5 or 6 weeks. The version I am using, because of NeroVision problems in the later ones, is 4.1.0.9, which came with Nero 7 v7.0.1.4. There should be a new update in the next week to 10 days so you might try to download that. If you do, download the clean tool for Nero 7 and use it to clean the old install then install the new version. You can also download some extra menu templates and such if you want. You probably got a message about that. If you want to check what type of things have been updated, check here to see the notes. http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero_7_Premium_Release_Notes.html
