Ok im real new to this and I just got me a dvd writer a couple of weeks ago. I have made some dvds but realized that all of them are only 99 titles. I am trying to burn all my video clips on to dvd but when I try to add files it says too many. This is what I do.. 1) Open nero smart start. 2) select photo and video 3) select make your own dvd-video 4) select add video files 5) select 152 files and add 6) your document already contains the maximum number of 99 titles. Unable to insert anymore titles. and it shows at the bottom that there is only 3/4 of 1 GB used. I dont understand why I cant fill up the whole cd. If anyone can guide me in the right direction or have any tips or knows whats going on plz write. Thanx
Hello compamber. I think there is a limit of 99 titles according to DVD standards. Are your clips AVIs, MPEGs or what format? I assume you're making a video DVD and not a data DVD.
Hey.. thanx they are in avi. format. And yes dvd video. Should I be making a data disc? Will I be able to put video on it and brouse when I want and watch it on a dvd player?
If you have a DVD player that plays AVIs you could; otherwise, you'll be limited to watching on a PC. If your player doesn't recognize and play AVIs, they do have to be converted to DVD compliant files. Are your AVIs pretty short in length? Are they related in any way so some could be merged together reducing the number of titles required?
they are all under 4 min most are bout 30 sec. And yes I could merge them all if possible I think that would be better!
You could always use certain videos as a title video and then add other videos to it by editing and adding them there. That way you would only have titles for the primary videos and sub menus (if you insert chapters) for the other videos included with that title video.
