Hello All, I have a problem, I got a copy of Nero V6 OEM with a burner, and installed and downloaded the latest V6 updates. It didn't install (The Update). I got a blue screen of death refering to "IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_NOT_EQUAL" and "pnp680r.sys" now I can't uninstall it, or re-install over the top, as it causes the same BSOD to appear... Anybody else either had this, know what is causing it, or have any solutions before I do a re-install of my OS? Regards. Paul.
Hi peejaygee Welcome to aD Try uninstalling Nero - run the clean (write down your serial # 1st) then redownload this version. See if that helps. Clean Tool: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html Package 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 (Recode & Vision) http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe
I ran the clean up utility, which it did uninstall. But when I went to re-install the program, even though the "Automatically Restart" is unticked, installation of Nero still caused my machine to reset. Now that is puzzling me.
Is it working now? No more blue screen of death? Just my opinion but I always reboot/restart after an install.
Nope, it isn't working, I can't get it installed, everytime I try it causes my machine to reset. My first install of it was ok, it was only after I tried to apply the update has it caused me problems. All seems to stem from "pnp680r.sys" I'm stumped.
Here's what microsoft says about the error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/293077/en-us Looks like the problem driver is pnp680r.sys - RAID driver?
