I have read through a few threads now and I am beginning to understand that this version of Nero is a waste of time but for anyone else who may have this same problem... I am unable to burn an Audio CD from a CUE sheet consisting of a single MP3. The CUE sheet is fine, I can burn it no problem using an older version of Nero (v7.2.0.3b to be specific). Using the latest version from Ahead v7.2.3.2b, selecting open and clicking the cue sheet Nero pauses for a minute displaying this... Processing the mp3 perhaps? After the pause the following screen shows up... Not what I was expecting to see Ive done the usual uninstall/clean/reinstall. Im using the most basic of installs as well...only Nero Burning ROM installed in the product setup. Basic installation My question is this, what should have changed so drastically in this new version of Nero to cause a failure in such a basic operation [read commonly used but probably actually complex behind the scenes]? Am I the only one with this exact problem or has anyone else had similar issues? Either way some help on fixing this would be nice since I like to keep current with software releases and this is the first time Ive ever had any issues with Nero. Im using a Plextor PX-708A with v1.12 firmware (lastest version as of 04-08-06) on a WinXPSP2 machine. Cheers, Tom
@ToMMY2k I'm using the current version too but haven't done any cue's. No problems w/ burning on my end doing video, avi, data etc. I installed more than burning rom not full install - left out things like home, photosnap etc. When you we're using 7.2.03b did you only install burning rom also? My only suggestion is to uninstall - run nero clean tool - reboot then run ccleaner (http://ccleaner.com) to clean up the leftovers that Nero leaves. Then install again. @penner13 This helps how????? Need to edit the sig - throwing everything waaaay off
Hi binkie7, Thanks for the suggestions. I only ever install the minimum possible so with both installations only Nero Burning ROM was installed. I have tried CCleaner, Registry Mechanic, the cleaner tools from Nero, and manually removing Nero entries from the registry. After installing again today (for the 15th time maybe) I am still having same problem with this latest version. I have a gut feeling this is to do with a problem directly with Nero.exe and I am just the unlucky one who has the right software/hardware setup to trigger the issue. I will at somepoint if no new version is released soon, format this machine and install Nero as the first software application. Maybe I will be able to get Nero working and then be able to verify my hardware is not causing the issue and then update the machine bit by bit and identify the sofware/driver that is causing the Nero conflict. --UPDATE-- I just installed this version of Nero on my machine at work and exactly the same thing happens. The machines at work and at home are similar Abit motherboards, AMD chips, VIA Chipsets. Ill try and Intel based machine later today.
@ToMMY2k Let us know how that turns out on the Intel. The pc I run Nero 7.2.3.2b on is an Asus mobo w/ intel chipset. Instead of reformatting you may just want to go back a version in Nero. Then there's always Nero tech support:0) I'm one of the unlucky ones when it comes to my config and burning mp3's to audio. All versions of Nero 7 give me skipping. I have yet to figure it out - gave up (this version was supposed to fix it).
Yo binky7, I will as soon as I get back to work where all the PCs are I have moved back a version to 7.2.0.3. I cant say if I have the skipping problem since I rarely burn MP3 CDs. I have an iPod so my music is alyways in mp3 format. I only burn a CD when Im off to a friends house who doesnt have a HiFi and cant take the iPod as an input. I may even have the skipping problem to deal with in this version that actually works. Ill burn some test CDs to make sure. Cheers, Tom

@ToMMY2k Txs for that bit too! Now to wait and see if that's the case End of August maybe? I'll be sure to look at release notes and see what all this next release fixes. Just from what I seen they are not most detailed - somewhat vague at times for some fixes.
All seems to be fixed in Nero v7.2.7.0 - lets hope the problems of skipping mp3 audio is also fixed. Cheers, Tom
Good to hear the new version fixed your cue sheet problem. Seems like the new version finally fixed my mp3 audio conversion- my test mp3's for quite a few versions is finally not skipping w/ this one. Amazing! Hopefully it fixed it for more than me.
