I encode the .avi's with TMPGenc Xpress 4.3. The audio is 5.1 ac3. I demux with VirtualDubMod and mux everything with TMPGEnc. Nero doesn't encode anything since the audio and video are already DVD compliant. Yet, when the burn is finished, always around Chapter 17 of the DVD, a scene from the movie skips, and in turn makes the audio out of sync. I checked the .mpg before burn and the audio is fine. I am using Nero Vision 3.1.0.11, what could be the cause of this?
If you output the DVD files to the hard drive and check that the sync is ok, then it may be the burn setting is too high or the media is unreliable. If you cut the speed back to 4x, then change the media (Verbatim is good) and if that doesn't fix it, then burn the disk with 'IMGBurn' to see if the problem is with Nero. http://www.imgburn.com/ Run ImgBurn Click 'Mode' > 'Build' Click 'Output' > 'Device' Click 'File' > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK' Set burning speed to 4x and click the green write button.
O.K., I checked the files that Nero output before I burned, Chapter 17 was still out of sync. I have the slightest clue as to why.
