I have a question using nero vision 4. I am trying to convert home movies into dvds. I am capturing them at dvd mpeg-2 quality with my capture card. why does nero vision need to transcode these files if I'm doing this? it seems like I'm losing quality when it does this. the video seems to look fine but the audio is horrible after I burn them onto disc. the audio is fine when I play them back on the pc so it has to be something wrong with the "transcoding" part. so I guess basically my question is, what are the exact settings I need to record at for it not to transcode the files?

it will always transcode them into VOB format....if you are capturing the video with a capture card onto your HD,i would recommend using Winavi to convert your Mpeg-2 to DVD...you will not lose any quality....
