Nero Vision 4 Capturing problems. Buttons greyed out?

    Hello I am having some problems capturing video from my camcorder using nero vision 4.

    I have a SONY DCR-TRV38 connected via a usb cable to my computer. I can see the video stream when i hit play on my camcorder but I do not have the option through nero to play,ff, rewind etc. Those buttons are greyed out. i downloaded the latest driver from Sony.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Are you trying to capture the video to your hard drive or what is it you are trying to do.

    Sorry, Yes i am trying trying to capture video to my hard drive. The record and timer buttons are available, but the play ,ff/rew buttons are greyed out.

    To be able to do this you need a Video Capture card, they are Not expensive and are easy to install.
    I have a WinFast 2000XP which captures the Video in MPEG format and then its a simple matter of burning these files to DVD using Nero.
