Hello members, I'm having problems ith Nero Vision 4 converting large AVI to the best DVD quality. Whenever I set Nero Vision to the highest setting and convert Avi to DVD the size starts off saying that it would take up enough space to use a DL Disk which is fine because I'm trying to have the best quality from the original Avi which file size is usually a 712mb-DVD Rip.

I set the settings in Nero Vision 4 to the best quality in the Transcoding mode to High quality and Encoding mode to High quality (2-pass VBR) and doing this usually take the AVI 3hrs-6hrs to convert. Problem is when finished the DVD file is smaller than stated size Nero Vision said it would be. Nero Vision state DVD would be 5.2gb and the finishing result comes out to be 3.9 gb. So what could of happened?? It turns out that Nero still compress file when I didn't set it to?

So my needed help is what could I be doing wrong??? I'm I setting up the settngs wrong??? Any hlp here would help??? Thanks.

An average 700mb AVI file, once converted using NVE usually turns out to be around the 4Gb size, so thats normal...I successfully fit mine onto standard DVD5.
