nero vision 4

    i ve been having a few probs with nero 7 so ive kicked back to nero 6.6.0.16b the problem is i need nero vision 4 is it possible to just upgrade the section without upgrading the rest and if so how.

    NeroVision4 is not available with Nero6, however you can have NVE3 by updating to 6.6.0.18 from here, download BOTH packages......package 2 contains Nero Recode and NVE3.

    If you are having problems with Nero7 it's probably because of the version of Nero you have, some are buggy, so version 7.0.8.2 is the recommended one.
    If you have a version after 7.0.8.2, uninstall, run this clean tool

    If you go back to Nero7, you will have to uninstall Nero6, run this clran tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html before installing Nero7.

    I used to have a version of Nero 6 (unsure which) and I was able to convert avi files to dvd without any difficulty.
    I then upgraded to Nero 7 (again unsure which version) and when I tried to encode the avi files the audio dubbing was out-of-sync as the program progressed (i.e. initially audio was in line with the video but got worse as the program went on and by half way it was a agood 3-4 secs out of sync with the video)
    I then cleaned out Nero 7 using the cleantools and then re-installed the Nero6 which I had - but I could no longer enocde - the program kept crashing producing an error log (which I can't understand obviously!).
    Reading this and various other threads, I downloaded the above links and installed Nero 6.6.0.18 and NVE 3.1.0.21 and installed. This time I was able to encode the avi to dvd, but the audio was yet again out of sync, so I'm back to sqaure one.
    Admittedly I haven't tried the Nero 7 download (version 7.0.8.2), but will try this evening - does it come with NV4 in the download? I am not optimistic.
    Any ideas as to where to go from here??? Looking back I should never have changed the original Nero that I had, but even installing that did not work! Each time I have installed/uninstalled I have used the CleanTools for the appropriate Nero and also uninstalled from Control Panel when necessary afterwards.
    Please help, I used to encode loads of avi files to free up hard disk but now they are piling up and certain files just don't work with AVI2DVD or other small programs, Nero was the best!
