I'm trying to separate a few seconds worth of audio from one of my mpeg files using Nero Vision. It seems to work as it should, but the resulting audio file is normal in the left channel only. The right channel is completely overmodulated. I've recently gotten Nero 8 and I'm getting the same results with Nero Vision 5 I did with Nero Vision 4.

What sort of problem am I looking at and what should I be looking at to fix it?

Try Nandub or Virtual Dub Mod.

I'm still wondering why the programs I paid money for (Nero 7 & 8) couldn't do this simple thing properly. Because I tried Virtual Dub Mod and it worked perfectly and easily the first time out. Thanks very much.

Just another one of the many bugs in Nero7/8 I suppose. Things seem to have improved in Nero 8 imo.

I personally just use Virtual Dub Mod for all my AVI video editing. Weather it be splicing or joining or like you just wanting the audio, I use virtual dub mod.
