I have been burning some avi i downloaded with nero vision and they worked great with know problem i didnt have to convert or anything, but the ones I get that are bin files I convert with vcd gear to mpeg and then burn with nero vision but they dont play, so i figured out you cannot convert mpeg to mpeg with nero vision and get a copy that works with my dvd player but if i burn a avi with nero vision it works fine, how can i convert bins to avi that will work with nero vision? i tried winavi but every time after i convert to avi ( dvix 720) it says burn process failed when burning with nero vision.. please help?:???? Jus twant good mpeg2 movies to play in most dvd players..

If you output to a DVD folder on the hard disk from Nero, can your media player open and play the files ?

the actual files are playable by windows media player and nero player its just some movie files work with my nero vision and burn fine and others say process failed I will try to find where the process failed text is and upload a screen shot.. i burnt a avi file fine and it played on my dvd player so i went to burn another one and it wouldnt burn but yet it play in my media player fine..there the same type of files so i dont get what im doing wrong...? just want to burn avi and bin files to mpeg2 to play on my dvd player..it wonk recognize other formats like if i change the file to mpeg with vcd gear and then burn it with nero vision it says my dvd is incopatible with the dvd player ( rca) built in the tv

It sounds like you are saying that If Nero says you have a successful burn, then the disk plays OK ?

If Nero tels you the burn has failed, then it sounds like a burning problem - not a conversion problem.

Most burning problems are caused by burning too fast or using poor media.

You should be burning at less than maximum speed - 4x to start and use media that either says that it is 'Made in Japan' on the package or use 'Verbatim' brand.
