Hi Folks, I'm over 60 and trying to learn. I can't figure out how to format a DVD R in Nero? I'm used to using another program to format my CD-R's and just had a DVD-R drive installed which came with this Nero Program. I've looked at all the choices and checked the index but don't find anything about formatting. I do see that you can make a Data DVD which is what I wish to do. But I don't see any selection to format before selecting this choice. Appreciate any help on this.
Post should have read "DVD RW's". Since I couldn't find ANY reference to "formatting" anywhere I did attempt one this morning. I copied over some data files and then when I hit "Burn" it did it's thing including a reference on the screen that it was formatting. I've been used to formatting my CDRW's first and then copying info onto them. So is this formatting procedure just peculiar to Nero or are DVDRW's done this way always?
