Hi all, i downloaded some video clips of xbox 360 games from gametrailers.com and im trying to make a dvd with them for my nephews for christmas.

The video clips are HD quality, 9446kbps 1280x720
After compiling them i played them in the preview window and they were un-watchable so i ran them through Nero Recode 2 and converted them, they now play fine in the preview window but when i go to burn i get an error saying "unable to transcode video" im lost iv tried everything but still no joy hope someone can help

    heres the log file

[09:57:52] NeroVision total data size : 2004892266 bytes
    [09:57:52] NeroVision multiplexed size : 2078121984 bytes

this is way too large for Nero to transcode! IMHO.

[09:57:45] ExpressUI Directory for temporary files: f:\Temp
[09:57:45] ExpressUI Available hard disk space for temporary files: 5645.223 MB
Need more space on your hard drive.

    [09:58:00] NeroVision - Menu for Title 1 (1 page)1A23-0609-9030-2312-1122-XXXX edit out your serial #

it's also good to update your firmware for your burner from 1.14 to 1.41: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php just put in your model #(1608P2) into the SEARCH.

[09:57:50] MMTools SourceBuilder: --- used source filters ---
    [09:57:50] MMTools {422A3AF6-0B1D-42CB-AAF9-7DFD8EB2FCEF} - File Source (MP3)
you have file sources of MP4s....I don't know if that would hinder the process.

    [09:58:00] NeroVision CdRomPeripheral : SCSIVAX DVD/CD-ROM 2.7a vaxscsi Port 6 ID 0 DMA: Off
    [09:58:00] NeroVision CdRomPeripheral : SCSIVAX DVD/CD-ROM 2.7a vaxscsi Port 6 ID 1 DMA: Off
    [09:58:00] NeroVision CdRomPeripheral : SCSIVAX DVD/CD-ROM 2.7a vaxscsi Port 6 ID 2 DMA: Off
these are virtual drives.... disable them .... sometimes they interfere with Nero.

[09:58:00] NeroVision Used disc space: 1.96 GB are you using a used DVD that was writen on already? if it's an RW disk.... make sure you erased it.... or have the check mark for Nero to erase RW disks if there is writing on it.

[09:58:00] NeroVision Nero API version: 6.6.0.18
[09:58:00] NeroVision Using interface version: 6.6.0.12

seems that you have an older version of Nero on your computer and using the 66018 version (same version I use) I would reinstall 66018 after using Nero cleaning tool:
I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe

    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html
reboot and you're good to go!

and finally you have packet writing on your computer... it's a Roxio driver found in Roxio and/or Sonic. Some members say it interferes with your DVD writing and some members still have both Roxio and Nero together on one computer. but when you're having trouble with Nero.... I would eliminate Roxio/Sonic as being a problem. Uninsall Roxio/Sonic and do a registry clean up and use Roxio Zapper:
    http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

    other than this your OK!
