I had no problems with dvd shrink except it go right to Nero and burn the CD.

I have tried burning the TS files several ways in Nero and each time it says completed successfully. Once I put into the vcr, I get incorrect DVD. I check the DVD's and by looking at the back, there is data on them.

    Could somebody please help me?

    Hi robinc
What brand of discs are your using? How about the burn speed?
Which format are the discs (+ or - R or R/W)? Does your dvd player accept those formats?
Do these dvd's you burned playback in the pc?

    robinc,
If these are commerical DVD's then you are using the wrong program. For that you use Recode ( Remake a Movie). If these are Home movies then you are using the correct program

First, I should clarify that I have been using DVD Shrik for a while and downloaded the trial version of Nero recommended from DVD Shrink. Everything worked well for a while and then I started having the problems. The discs are Maxell DVD/RW not sure of the speed. I was using Office Depot and had no problems with them. This is the first time using the Maxell. The DVD's that I am using do play back in my VCR. They will not play back on the computer.

The DVD's that I am copying are not home movies. The movies are now stored on my HD.

    robinc,
Has the Nero trial time limit run out for you. You might have to buy it. If it is still good use Recode. Can you get a can of compressed air and gently blow air into the DVD opening to see if the lens has lint on it. Is the burner's firmware up to date as the firmware tells the computer the MID code. Maybe the Maxell's are too new of a DVD-RW for the burner to recog the MID Code and you need to see if there is a firmware update

The Nero Vision Express 3 is the CD I got when I purchased a new DVD/rw for another computer. The Nero trial version that I was using, and working well, is the one that expired.

How can I find out if the firmware needs to be updated?
