I am using NeroVision Express 3.1.0.16 to convert a 600MB Xvid-AVI file to DVD-R for burn to 4.7 disk. I have XVID decoder and encoder installed as part of the K-Lite pack. And my burner is the LG GMA-4020B which I burn using the absolute slowest speed possible. I would use 1/2X is that was a choice! My default NVE DVD-Video options are Aspect Ratio:Automatic; Sample Format:Automatic; Encoding Mode:High Quality and Audio Formatolby Digital(AC-3)2.0. Shaded out are Bit Rate:9716 kbit/sec. and Resolution:720 X 480 (CCIR 601D1). I have XP Home Service Pack2, Pentium4, 1 Gig RAM. The final product doesn't use all the 4.7 Gig blank DVD-r during the burn, more like 3 Gig. But my real problem is the first 45-50 minutes of the hour-and-a-half video looks great but then freezes off and on through the end, if it even gets to the end. My standalone player is JVC 5-disk TH-CS and I have tried different disk slots without success. Please help if you can and keep up the great work! Happy motoring! newfane18 therock2053@rock.com
Hi Please edit out your e-mail address, you don't want to be spammed or bombed... Try burning at 4x, you shouldn't burn too fast but burning too slow might give you problems as well... Any chances you could paste a log in here?
