I just bought Nero Ultra 6 and I'm trying to burn some DVDs. I recoded a couple of avi files to mp4 using NeroRecode. I then used NeroVision Express to merge the two mp4 files, build a menu, and then burn to either DVD or hard disk. Everytime I attempt this, NVE analyzes the video, then just before the burn process starts, an Error window pops up with the following information: OS: Windows XP Home Edition, SP2 CPU: AuthenticAMD, AMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+, MMX @ 2200 MHz Application data: VmVyc2lvbjogVVVKZFExQlRWbHRFVFVOSFF5c29PU2M1QndBNkpUOCt MVzk3WjJOck1DRWpQeU1rTTBGeGVIQjBaWE01DQpJbWFnZUJhc2U6ID A3MTkwMDAwDQpFaXA6IDc1ODEwNzYNCkVheDogNEQ2N0VGRUMNCkVje DogNzU4MzAxOA0KRWR4OiAwDQpFYng6IDczQzA1NjgNCkVzaTogNzU4 MERFQw0KRWRpOiA5MQ0KRWJwOiA5MDNCREUwDQpFc3A6IDkwM0JEODg . . . (this garbage repeats for several dozen lines) I believe I have all the latest software available as I only downloaded the Nero Suite two weeks ago. Has anyone else run into this problem? What did you do to fix it?
hi why not just load the avi and make a dvd? (nero visionexpress) why are you making mpg4 from avi then makeing dvd from mpeg4?
I actually did try that but the same error occurred. I also read somewhere that NeroVisionExpress doesn't like AVI files (which sounded a bit odd), so I converted to mp4 to be sure it wasn't a compatibility issue.
