Hey, I've been having a problem recently that is driving me crazy. I use Nero Vision Express to burn DVDs and up until now it's worked fine. Nero will encode the files and then burn. It will say 'burn process successful or complete or whatever it says' and when I look at the DVD I can tell something's been burned onto it. But when I put it in my computer or DVD player nothing happens. When I double click on the CD drive it says the CD is empty. I've tried numerous times, so I can't see it being ten defective blank DVDs in a row. I've also reinstalled Nero and Nero Vision Express but it is still happening. I can burn audio and data cds no problem so I can't see it being a hardware issue (in Device Manager it also says that my burner is working fine). Don't know what else to do. Has anyone had this problem? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Geoff
hi i had a similar problem, i upgraded to nero 6 reloaded and updated nero programs but found that there was a problem with the earlier updates. Try checking the versions and updates and make sure that you have the latest. I found that this fixed most of the issues you mention. Another reason could be the burner. I bought a new one (an LG DVD burner) and found that it didnt recognise some of my disc brands. i went to their website and finally found an update that gave me all the necessary drivers etc to read the discs. Hope this is of some help trevor
