Nero Vision Express video capture problem

I have a Pinnacle DC10Plus video capture card and can see video in the preview screen in Nero Vision Express (2.1.2.17), but when I hit the Record (red) button I get an error message "Failed to initialize the capture device. Please check the device settings."

When I click on the Video Device Properties icon all of the features are 'greyed' out and so I can't modify anything. The Pinnacle DCxx card is shown in the Capture device selection.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately I didn't get any response and so I still have the problem. I'm at a loss to know where esle to seek help, but if you come up with an aanswer I'd like to know and would let you know if I do likewise.
