Hi all, I was trying to create a dvd with a title page and about 11 movies so i could select each one. This goes well till the end of transcoding the videos (avi) as it does not burn them to disc but my hard drive. How do I change this. Also i found where they were saved on my hard drive and they were iso but like 4 times bigger so I cant burn them on to a DVD.Why is this and how can i solve it? Thanks, Tom H
AVI is a format that is smaller than DVD compliant files. So you have to convert the file to DVD compliant files...... I never heard of anyone putting 11 movies on one DVD! the quality can't be good! LOL unless you are talking about film clips or episodes from a tv... usually if they are 1 hour episodes from TV then you can cram maybe 4 or 5 episodes onto one disk..... remember that 1 hour shows are like 45mins of video (when you take out commercials). When Nero converted your AVI files to your hard drive it made an ISO file which is one big file ready for burning! but the ISO file is too large. My suggestion is to put maybe 4 videos on a disk and somewhere in Nero will be setting to burn right to disk!
Hi there, thankls for the reply. they are fawlty towers episodes and on my hard drive they are about 4 gb but when they were converted to dvd iso they were about 12gb.Is there anyway I can them all on a disc because they would fit on a dvd at 4gb?Can iso be compressed or something? Thnaks, Tom H
the ISO is a file that contains all the DVD compliant files ready for burning. I don't think you can compress the ISO once it is made. try to follow this guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 now just add your files till the bar on the bottom fills up to a DVD! good luck.
