I use Nero Vision to put some clips that I have on my hard drive onto CDs. After everything is converted and it burns onto the CD, I check to make sure that it plays and then I delete the clips from my hard drive. My question is for some reason I've been noticing that my hard drive space is going down even though I'm deleting the clips after I burn them. Why is that?

My hard drive space was 69GB before I started using Nero Vision to burn them and after I burned a few CDs my hard drive space is 65GB. I deleted the files so the hard drive space should go up and not down. Can anyone help?

Also I ran anti-spy and anti-virus and everything checks out fine.

    Hi KB8
    Here's 2 places to check:
    My documents>NeroVision>Imported Video.

    Or your temp files.
douments & settings>owner (or whatever you have it named)>local settings>temp.
You may have to 'unhide' this directory if you haven't. Tools>folder options>View. Then check 'show hidden files & folder' click apply.

I tried all those things and I didn't find anything. I checked every single folder and there's nothing out of the ordinary. Any other suggestions?

    hmmmm recycle bin?

The ones listed above are Nero's default. Check here & see if yours are any different. In Vision click on more>configure>folders.

The defaults you listed above are the same as mine and I checked the Nero Vision folder and it has nothing in it. As for the recycle bin, I emptied it out.

I right clicked on Document and Settings and then clicked on Properties to see how big the file is. It says the folder size is 21GB but I checked every single folder in there and if I add it up the folder size should only be around 8GB. I have no idea where the extra 13GB is.

When you click on local settings is just called temp. I'm guessing the nero files might be there.

Ok logged in as administrator? If only 1 user setup on the pc then you more than likely are.

Go to your hard drive(usually C drive)>owner, administrator or your name (usually 1 of the 3)>local settings>temp.
By default local settings is a hidden folder. So if you can't see it go to tool>folder options>view. Under 'hidden files & folder' check 'show hidden files & folders' then click apply.
