Hello! I've read a similar post but i couldn't figure out what was done to solve the problem. here's what's happening. I'm trying to burn an avi file using nero vision but I get a runtime error when its about to finish and nero closes automatically. when i look at the cd (after 5 hours), it doesn't look like it actually burned anything. I've tried uninstalled, running all of nero's cleaning utilities, and installing it again, but that has not yet worked. Also, when i add the avi file, the picture is slashed. there is as slash in the middle and the picture is skewed. it looks like "CAA" instead of "ABC". Any ideas on what might be causing the conflist? I do have norton on my PC , but i'm a little hesitant about removing that...
If your picture is slashed, you might check the interlace settings. Perhaps try something beside Progressive. You might also make sure you are not going between PAL and NTSC. You need to post a log for the error. The NeroHistory one is a good choice. Make sure and remove your serial number, and if it is long, try to edit out all but the last couple of burn attempts where the error shows up. During transcoding/burning, if you watch the progress screen, you can tell if the error occurs prior to writing to the actual CD. You might also burn an image to your hard drive to see if it works first, and then burn the image to the cd.
