I have downloaded avi movies. They play great in Windows Media Player. When I watch and/or burn them using Nero Essentials 7(software came with Sony DVD R/W drive), they are very pixelated. I believe there is a codec problem, but I am not sure. Hope someone can help me.

It plays beautifully on VLC. Will try DVD Flick. Thanks.

If the output from Nero plays ok with VLC, then it is a good conversion.

Play the DVD using VLC, if it's pixelated - it's probably caused by poor media or too high a burn speed.

I did not convert it using Nero. I just played the original avi file. I should be more specific. I play the movie in Nero Vision and it is pixelated. I burn the movie to dvd and it looks the same way on my stand alone dvd player as it did in Nero Vision before the conversion.
