    Hi all,

when I try to burn a video cd from a Divx movie, I exceed the 700 mb limit. By clicking on the question mark beside the scroll, I get the following message:
To save space, you can try the following:
-- Disable the option 'Burn original slide show pictures'.
-- Disable animation of the buttons and backgrounds in your menus.
-- Reduce the encoding quality of your project.
-- Remove or shorten some of your project's titles.

But, I Can't find anywhere to disable these things or to change the encoding quality.. any one know how i do this?

    Ted

If these Divx files are rather large, say 350+MB, you are going to be disappointed at the quality if you get it on a CD. As far as your question, I'm not at my comp right now, but if I'm not mistaken, after putting your video files into the Nero project you will see a "More" button near the bottom. If you click that there should be a "video option" tab that you can click which will allow you to change the video rate. Usually its on automatic, but you can choose "custom" to lower the rate. Disabling animation of buttons and slide show pictures is done when creating a menu. Simply, choose not to create a menu, under the "more" option mentioned earlier. As far as shortening project titles, that simply means remove files from the project. If all you have is one divx file, this can only be accomplished by cutting out sections of the video file (usually not desired). Your best option is to burn these divx files to a DVD if you have a DVD burner. If not, I would recommend you spending about $50 and getting one. Hope this helps.

    Hi thanks for responding.

The problem is that when you push the 'more' button adn then the video options there are no further options to choose 'custom' to lower the rate.. None that I can find..

    regards Ted

I think the custom options are available only when you try to burn a DVD, and I would tend to disagree that you will get poor quality if the AVI is larger than 350+(I put a 500Mb+ on a VSD and it looked great).
You can try and use the "Edit Movie" function, and cut out the end part with the credits and some from the begining with the studio/company logo and whatever other crap.
