I just burned a downloaded version of a movie to a dvd using Nero Vision and it came out with a blurry pixelated border on the bottom and right side. When i watch with VLC, media player, and nero showtime its fine, not blurryness. It looked the same as i created chapters but i decided to try it anyway. I was wondering if theres any codec that i could get to fix it. I go theyre plugin pack, kazaa mega pack, and divx. still didnt make a difference. Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

What brand of discs are you using and what is your burn speed?

Im using Maxel and i think the burn speed it 2.4x. It wasnt only after the burn that it was messed up though. While i was creating the chapters in the preview of Nero Vision it was doing the same thing, before i burned the disc.

Have you given any thought to the fact that the download is at fault, I am assuming you downloaded the file, not all D/Ls are of good quality.

Would the download be faulty but still play without errors in 3 different players (showtime, media player and vlc)?

It is possible. The images you are viewing are on a computer screen which is smaller than a TV screen so the pixelation may not be apparent

The only place that it had the messed up pixelated border was in nero vision.

Everything was fine on the computer though. i watched it in VLC. Then i go to burn it, as i start to create the chapters in nero vision, i noticed it, then when i previewed it before burning it, same thing. So i went back to VLC and windows media player and it was okay. Checked in Vision again and it was still pixelated. Then i burned it, and same thing there.

Any ideas why nero would do this?

You say you burnt it to disk and it didn't remove the blurryness? Sounds like you downloaded a bad copy, usually nero will clean it up as I have had a similar problem.

When i downloaded it, i watched it on my comp with VLC. Then i went to burn it, but before i burned it, i previewed it with nero vision (during create chapeters) and it had a weird pixelation like the bottom and side had been stretched out to fit. So i didnt burn it. i watched it again in 3 different players on my comp to see if it was there, but i didnt notice it, but it wasnt there. the only place it was showing up was in the preview in Nero Vision BEFORE burning. So i burned it anyway to see if it was only nero messing with it, but it burned the same way. Even if i didnt burn it, while in nero, it was pixelated.

    Hi dilling
I, too, was having problems with Nero 'pixellating' after I reformatted
and installed the latest version of Nero 7.2.3.2b. I still had the installer for the previous version of Nero 7.0.5.4 and installed that instead. I am glad to say that my movies look normal again. Everything in my system was the same as before except I put on a new Windows XP Home - I had XP Pro before. Anyone any ideas why this should be?
