I have both Nero 7 ultra edition and ConvertXtoDVD on my computer.
I believe Nero can convert and burn .avi's to DVD-Video as well as ConvertXtoDVD. So I was just wondering which will get better quality out of burning an .avi video file onto a DVD-R disc? Or will there be any difference?

    Cheers,
    Ryan

Well, you have to have at least 45" or higher (50 - 55) HDTV to notice the difference. So why don't you try them both to see which one you like more?

I have both ConvertXtoDVD and Nero Vision 4, have tried them both and quality seems pretty close. However, I'm more into Nero Vision, that's just my preference that's all.

When using Nero Vision, make sure to set to: Highest Quality, 2 Passes VBR to encode via MORE, Video Options in prior to the "transcoding" process. I've been using this setup and its quality looks good so far. Look at pic. for reference.
