Okay, I'm hoping this has not been asked at some other time (though I used the search function and didn't find it, and went through several pages of forum threads as well.)

When I bought my DVD burner about a year ago, it came with Nero OEM suite software. At the time, I installed it, and it worked pretty well for that year.

About a month ago I began having problems with it, culminating today in it not buring a disk at all though it said it did. Well, I did something that was probably stupid - I uninstalled, thinking I could re-install, no problem.

The problem is, now I go to re-install. Goes through the first install screen fine. Gets to the second where it asks for "Customer info." I input my serial number, and other required info, and supposedly, you should press "Next" to go to the next step, correct? There in lies the problem. The "Next" button remains greyed out even after I've input my information.

I am running Windows XP, service pack 2. I believe the Nero OEM software is around version 6, but I am not 100% positive on that, and can't seem to find out for sure as it will not let me install to find the version number.

Nero tech support can not seem to help me. I'm hoping someone here has come across this problem and can help me out.

    Thanks in advance!

    Gwendolin,

Thanks for the link. Tried it. Nero still will not re-install (in fact I'm getting the same problem still.)

Since this morning, due in part to another problem I was having on my computer, I have completely cleaned it, and re-installed Windows. Still no go.

Any idea why this stupid little button won't activate?

*Crosses fingers there's a simple answer.*

Nero is sometimes hard to remove so you may have to do it a couple of times, cannot offer any further explanations.
