This version of Nero contains some bugs, uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html and install this stable version http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe DMA needs to be on, go here for guide to turn on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 Free up some memory, dont multitask and shut down all unnecessary programs including spyware while burning. Slow to 4X
thanks for the help so quick i will sort thos thing out tonight i thought i had dma on think it says so in device mager lol and btw is it better to go on to nero 7? Thanks alot trev ps i just checkin device mager and say my pioneer in on dma 4 and ticked let bios select tranfer mode do u know y nero says dma not on?
If you wish to update to Nero7 then you will need to do the following. 1. Uninstall your Nero6 2. Run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html 3. Install this version, 7.0.8.2...DONT be tempted to install 7.2.0.3 or 7.2.0.3b, they are "buggy", herea the link to 7.0.8.2 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 However now you've changed to a stable version of Nero6, unless you are NOT happy with it I wouldnt see any reason for the change.
hi thanks for all your help been very helpful i uninstalled nero 6 like u surgested and cleaned as well then installed nero 6 version u surgested. i also tried get nero to say dma was on useing the the link u posted i also brought some more memory takeing me up 2 3GB installed i only got 2 quiestions if u willhelp me again i did the dma thing uninstalling the drvers and even tried updateing the drivers but nero still says dma is of but it is on in the device manager should i worried bout this? 2nd now i got 3GB men in the nero log it only picks up 2GB mem should i worried bout this? thanks again for all your help if only there was more people like u out there world b a better place Trev
i all ready run 3GB swap file on seprate drive to windows just wonder if nero can only use 2GB ram but windows does c all 3GB ram only a guess tho. any ideas bout the dma or forget bout it? could it b because it nforce4 motherboard with it been nforce4 driver and not microsofts drivers?
