nero or any other program wont detecect a blank dvd-r so i can burn a dvd off the computer onto it, its a NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A cd rom drive it didnt come with the computer tho and i dont have a installation disk but the computer already detected it and installed it its plays cd's and dvd's, detects blank cd-r cds but not dvd-r does anyone know what the problem might be it would be much appreshiated thx
Hi wonderd Welcome to aD The drive is an older one - it only supports +R media not -R media. So you'll need to get some +R's to burn dvd's. For this drive try and find 8x or lower media if you can.
