    Hello,

Can anybody help me out? I've been recently recording some WAVE files on my computer, I'm a recording artist of my own and make my own music through playing my own instruments. I've been recently using the software Cool Edit Pro to make my tracks and mix them etc.. but when I've come to record them to a CD in Nero 6 it won't let me, these WAVE files are recorded in 32bit for high quality, all I get is this message as I try to drag and drop the files in the Nero 6 audio CD layout window. "The selected WMA file(s) are protected and cannot be processed." I've never heard anything so obserd in my whole life! It's my own music that I've created and it's not breaking any copyright laws, I don't understand why it won't allow me to burn my own music to CD.

Does anybody here know what I should do to my Nero 6 to get it to burn these WAVE files?

Have you been able to tell what type of license they seem to have? The Help and Support talks about checking that type information if you search for Digital Rights.

I bet there is an option somewhere that mentions whether you want some type of license protection applied to your creations. It may even be in the Windows Media Player.

The audio cd standard requires 16 bit 44100 hz PCM wav files since this is the format of the audio cd. There are no files on audio cds, only streams of pulse code modulated (PCM) areas.
