Nero’s done it again! After days of editing it’s now refusing to open my NVC file (NeroVision 4). It goes to the front screen, I select the open existing project screen, I can see my file. I double click and then the program vanishes and I’m back at the Windows screen. File Manager shows that the NVC file is in place. I’ve used the Nero contact form on their website; the response being I should download their update for Nero 7. It sounds like a fob off to me. Surely I’m not the only person to have this happen. Is it drivers? Will I lose or damage my nvc file if I delete Nero and load the updated version? Please help if you can. I’ve spent manyhours already on the editing and I’m beginning to lose the will to do anything! Many thanks in advance.
Whatever you do, don't erase or mess with the files until you have found a solution. Reinstalling Nero may allow you to keep the files, depending if you select remove personal settings or not, but I would copy them to another location just in case. How many files do you have and do they all behave the same? Have you changed any of the video assets, as far as deleting the original files or moving them? Have you tried copying the .nvc file to another folder and open it from there? If you double click directly on the .nvc file. prior to opening NV4, does the same thing happen? Have you done a cold boot on the computer since the problem started?
