nero wont recognize my dvd burners

    when i try to burn a disk with nero it wants burn it as an image recorder instead of just burning it with one of my dvd burner drive. when i open nero and it ask which recorder i want to use, the only option i can choose is image recorder.

    If Nero can't see your drives, go to the Nero web site and download the latest update. That will include the required drivers for the latest drives.

    You didnt say what version of Nero you are using. I found your exact problem listed in a Nero 7 update:

    So an update of your Nero might fix that problem. If that doesnt fix it, post the burn log and we can see if you are having some other conflict.

    Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt[/bold]

    These things record all burns, and we only need the last one. The burns are seperated by something like this:
    that was from a Nero 6 log, but 7 looks much like that. Underneath the divider is the operating system, and right below that is the begining of the serial number. When posting a log, just include the last burn log, and be sure to edit out your serial numbers by typing xxxx over them, or deleting them before posting to the forum.
