Hello all, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem when downloading the new 'Demo' packages from the Nero and NeroDigital web sites. I tried downloading the package 1 and 2 (Nero Burning Rom with all extras and NeroVisionExpress 3)from the respective site (in case there was a difference of any sought) however the promised 'NeroDigital' does not appear to be present. When you click on 'convert using NeroDigital' in the Nero SmartStart menu, it just reverts back to the SmartStart Screen. Upon reading some other threads in this site I went to the 'Doom9' page regarding NeroRecode2, only to find that my downloaded version is missing two of the 5 options listed on the Recode page. The two missing icons are of course the 'NeroDigital' icons, which explains why the item can not open from the SmartStart menu. Am I doing something fundermentally wrong, or is the demo supposed to ship/download minus the 'NeroDigital' component. It would seem strange that it should be lacking the new all singing all dancing component especially when downloaded from the 'NeroDigital' site! Any observatins, similar incidences, or more importantly solutions would be most welcome. Thanks for your time, DrNo68
I downloaded 6.6 update but halfway thru the #2 part my computer said "can't download, site moved" or something like that. So.... I don't like NERO anyway so just gave up with part 1 upgrade. Where is the forum for Nero discussion. I cannot get it to work. Roxio works great..no coaster or error messages...
Samintx, I have now solved my problem. The issue was with my old serial number. Apparently it was preventing the full functionality from appearing. New serial number purchased from the site and now working perfectly. The DVD-r for Newbies discussion is often monitored by a senior member called Ccampbell, who is actually an employee of Nero. He is an absolute font of knowledge and takes the time to assist us fellow AfterDawner's in his own time. I beleive that he is away at the moment but is due to return in early June.
Since Nero will not access external drives....it is a non starter for me but I'm glad to know about he NERO employee. thanks for info
