Hi, NeroStartSmart opens okay the first time. If I shut it down, then attempt to re-open it, nothing happens. Windows task manager shows the process as activated and cpu goes upto 100%. If re-booting the system, it all works okay again...until I shut it down and then the same thing happens. Any ideas. Oh, and Nero Vision takes days to open! Rgds, Paul.
All I might think of is that the system wasn't clean when you installed the software. Did you have an earlier version of Nero and did you use the clean tool to remove it first? If not, download the clean tool for the previous installed version. If you went to an upgraded version, there may be something left from both versions now. You may have to use clean tools for both versions just to be safe. http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Clean_Tools.html You might also want to open the Task Manager and watch the processor usage during opening. If it goes to 100% the program will take longer to open. It seems some of the latest software updates cause this to happen. If this is happening, it may not be an install problem.
Take my advice, revert back to 7.0.8.2, this version is causing problems, uninstall, run clean tool and install this version,7.0.8.2 from here http://www.filehippo.com click on Nero 7.2.0.3 and then select 7.0.8.2 for a bug free version
