After adding a video file (.avi), NVE freezes/stops responding (the window turns white). I tried adding the file through click and drag and through the button on the side "add video files" but neither work. I uninstalled the thing and reinstalled it but no changes.

Running WinXP Home, 2.6ghz, 512 ram computer with Nerovision Express v3.0.1.18. I install a lot of stuff on a nearly daily basis so I cant be sure if anything is conflicting there although I doubt it. Its been working very well until recently (maybe 1 week ago) when it suddenly started freezing. Thanks for any replies.

Did you add anything in the past week or since it started freezing?
Keep as much memory free as possible. No multi tasking and shut down any unnecessary processes.
If you haven't recently do a system defrag and a disc cleanup.

The thing may not actually be freezing...I left it on for about 30minutes and eventually the file went through. I tried adding multiple video files but it didnt work even after waiting for 24 hours!

Did a disc check and defrag recently. My computer is usually slow, dont think the memory has anything to do with it taking 30x longer to input a file (it used to take about 1minute). And as for new installs, its as i said, I add/install lots of stuff daily so I dont know which it may be/what effects there are. I guess that makes it much harder to decipher the problem.

EDIT: Help still needed as the program isnt working as it should...thanks.
