I am trying to use NeroVision Express 3 to convert dvr-ms files to a more manageable mpeg or avi file. Basically, something that can be copied around my home network so my roomates can watch the shows and movies that I record without remoting into my MCE machine. I can get as far as importing the dvr-ms file into NeroVision. When I try to Export, Nero just hangs. It doesn't fail/crash or freeze up, it just hangs. I've let it sit in that state for hours, but it never seems to start exporting. Progress sits at 0%. When I click on "Abort", Nero does abort the job, albeit slowly, but it works. I also noted that while it is hanging, the cpu is at 0-3% utilization, (Nero is using 0%), and memory consumption is stable. I'm new to this application so I don't know how to get at my log file to see what's going on. I poked around a little, but couldn't find it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
If you're having problems with NeroVision Express 3, try another program. I found this site while looking up dvr-ms in google. http://www.thegreenbutton.com/default.aspx Go to the download center. Once there, look under the section "Utilities | DVR-MS" and get DVR Ripper. If that don't work, maybe someone who is a little bit more knowledgeable with NeroVision Express 3 can help you out.
