Hi! I'm new to forums and digital photography. I know just enough about PCs to be dangerous to myself! I have a Sony DVD 2 that records to the mini DVDs. Sony has their own very unfriendly software to import the vidoes to PC that is of little use. After some research on Sony forums, it seemed that most everyone that tried to bypass the Sony software was using Nero. So I bought Nero 6. After about 2 months of reading I figured out how to mave DVDs after getting the video to my PC. Now I am really getting brave and creating cute menus and different chapters myself using NeroVision Express 3 (It came with Nero 6). Problem is when I put several different movies or videos (I don't know if there is a differrence) on the DVD, once I hit play after putting in DVD Player, it plays everything. I can start at chapter I want to but from that point on...everything plays. How can I stop it from doing that? I would like it to stop after each menu segment and let ME decide what I want to play next. Please hlep....I have been reading since Christmas and my eyes are about to go on me if I don't find a solution quick!
hi, welcome to afterdawn... when you open nero, go to 'make your own dvd' from there, you can add your own files, everything is on the right side of the screen after you add what you want. you can make menus, add chapters, music, animated menus... it even gives you a mini tutorial as you hit the 'next' button. sorry this is vague, but i am just too sleepy to go into mass detail..
If I understand correctly, when u finish playing a title, you want it to go back to the main menu so you can select what plays next. Easy. After you have captures or added your video files and clicked next, you get to the menu screen. Bottom left of screen you will see a button called more...click it. You will now see you have the option of "When finished playing a title" to go to next title, go to menu or loop. Select Jump to Main Menu for your purposes. Hopefully this helps.
